Supportive Sunset Flow and Reflect:
W/ith years of experience guiding students through transformation on and off the mat, Melissa has a rare gift for holding space — the kind that makes you feel seen, grounded, and ready to go inward.

This closing class is more than a final session. Timed to align with the sunset, it’s an invitation to let the fading light carry away what no longer serves you and to seal everything you’ve gathered over the day into your body, your breath, and your heart.

Come ready to soften. Come ready to arrive.

Dorthy Calvert

Your Body Has Been Talking. It Is Time to Learn the Language.

Most people have been taught to manage their symptoms. To push through the fatigue, explain away the hormonal shifts, and normalize the digestion that has never quite worked right. What they have rarely been offered is an honest explanation of why.

In this introductory session Dorothy will introduce you to the foundational concept of body literacy. How your body systems work together as one connected conversation. How your symptoms are patterns pointing toward something specific. And how organic herbal medicine and nutrition can support your body in a way that is matched to you individually rather than applied generically.

Because awareness is where everything starts.

About Dorthy
Dorothy is a Master Herbalist and holistic health practitioner, a graduate of Trinity School of Natural Health, and the owner of Dorothy’s Herb Shop and Herbal Apothecary in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Dorothy approaches herbalism through the lens of real anatomy and physiology, working with the body’s systems as one interconnected conversation rather than a collection of separate problems to address. She believes every body is different and that genuine support begins with understanding your specific pattern. Her clinical practice is rooted in that pattern recognition, using whole food nutrition, organic herbal medicine, and the foundations of health to bring things back into balance in a way that is matched to the individual in front of her.

She formulates her own preparations in house and works with bioavailable forms of support, focusing on what the body can actually absorb and use. She owns and operates a full apothecary and herb shop alongside her clinical practice.

Her core belief is simple. Education creates awareness and awareness creates lasting change.

Dorothy’s work lives at the intersection of herbal science, body literacy, and honest clinical practice built on pattern.

Salt Power Yoga is a dedicated, open and accepting community of teachers and students who come together through the practice of yoga. We offer the chance to find stillness and surrender in our yin and restorative classes. Workshops can help you open your hips or align your chakras. Seeing and supporting each other in all our messy humanness is a salty gift we do not take for granted.

We would love for you to join our community of yogis who have been flowing through life together since 2012. We have 3 - 5 classes available daily, seven days at week, at both locations. Class passes and memberships allow you to travel back and forth between studios, or join us virtually through our multiple live Zoom and recorded classes. Come get salty with us!
