Salt Staycation

Get ready to staycate with salt this June.

Join us for the weekend of June 20-22 as we sweat and flow at BOTH salt locations. We will begin the weekend with a Happy Hour kickoff in Seven Fields. Saturday is in Sewickley, where we will start with a meditation walk and end with Pizza, Pop and Prosecco - with a chance to spark joy and get creative in between! Sunday we will be back in Seven Fields for more yoga, creativity exercise, perhaps a mini workshop throw in there, and ending the evening with a restorative class.

Like all of our retreats-whether here or far away-you take what you want and need, and leave the rest. There is no obligation to partake in all the classes and activities. See below for our tentative schedule.

If you want to make it a real “getaway,” the Hampton Inn in Wexford is situated between both studio locations right off of I-79.

Present Moment Retreat is located in a peaceful part of Mexico where they will be hosting us from March 29 - April 3, for 5 days and nights of yoga, relaxation and wellness. This authentic Mexican hotel and retreat is located on a serene Pacific Ocean beach with access to surfing, hiking, eco tours, and so much more. With two Salt yoga practices a day, as well as additional opportunities to guide you in movement and meditation, you will be able to build an itinerary that makes your trip work exactly for you.

Daily Yoga
Whether you have joined us on a Salt Retreat before, or are new to adventuring with us, we are excited to offer 2-3 yoga experiences a day. We will offer a mix of our signature Salty flow classes, as well as a mix of restorative, yin, meditation, and other fun chances to play on your mat! The onsite open air yoga studio is fully equipped with mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and cushions available to borrow, or you can feel free to bring your own gear.

Meal Description
3 Meals a day are included in your stay. Present Moment serves an Intercontinental Fusion style menu featuring fresh-caught seafood, vegetarian specialties, regional Latin American dishes, Asian delicacies, and housemade desserts. Smoothies and Elixirs available, and the dining staff will gladly create special meals for guests who have special dietary requirements. There is a bar on site, however alcoholic and specialty beverages are not included in meal plan and will be an additional charge for guests.

Room Descriptions
Present Moment has authentic palapa-style thatched roof bungalows that have easy access to the pool, beach, yoga center and dining. There are several choices of accommodations and most rooms are set up well to accommodate roommates as well as single travelers. Some rooms are air conditioned, while others will take advantage of the oceanside breezes and have bed canopies to create a comfortable sleeping environment. All rooms have private bathrooms and pricing below includes room, airport transfer, 3 meals per day, and yoga - air travel and excursions at the retreat are additional.

Travel
Troncones is a 45 minute drive from Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo (ZIH) International Airport. Airport transfer is included in the price of your stay, Salt will coordinate arrivals with all guests with Present Moment prior to retreat.

Guests will pay a $500 deposit upon booking their trip, a second $500 will be charged on 12/30/24 (90 days prior), and your remaining balance will be charged on 1/28/25 (60 days prior). Cancellations require at least 60 days notice prior to the date of arrival to be eligible for a 50% refund on deposits made. After such time, 100% of the deposit will be forfeited.

12 Day Reset w/ salt

Every morning you will receive an email including: a topic tied to a specific color for the day, a mantra, a pre-recorded zoom class, a journal prompt, a meditation or breath practice, quotes, and an article, podcast or video related to the topic.

The reset will conclude on the evening of March 10 with an in studio and live Zoom class from 6-7:30pm. The class will be 45 min of power yoga and 45 min of restorative.

You can follow along with us February 27-March 10, or, if you choose, you can save all the emails and take the 12 day reset when it works best with your schedule. You do you!

The last day of the workshop will open up with reviewing everything we've learned through the weekend, with time to ask questions and tune up skills/poses. Winter Workshop Session 2 - Inversions and Play @ Seven Fields

The second day of the intensive will start with headstands, the goal is to learn and play! No expectations and safety is the most important. Props will be provided for assistance. Secondly, we'll dive in to handstands! Everyone will get a chance to learn the proper technique. You can decide if handstanding is something that you would like to use to elevate your practice. No expectations other than to give it a try, and if your body says no, that's completely ok! We will have a lot of "play" time as we learn how to get upside down. The first session with be 90 minutes of foundations. We will learn skills after a yoga warmup. We will learn proper low push up technique, as well as open up discussion for jumping back to low push up pose. 10 Day Reset, Refocus, Restart

Each participant will receive an email a day with a topic (think presence, play, acceptance) and all the tools, including yoga, you need to get curious and explore how it sits with you in your yoga practice and beyond. You will have a 10 day, unlimited zoom pass added to your account. Sign up for any classes that you want. Attend any/all or wait for the recordings and practice when you can! On day 10, there will be a 75 minute evening mashup class via zoom to celebrate the journey. Everyday you will receive a short mantra to use. In addition, you will receive an article, video, etc. to further explore the day's topic. An optional, topical journal prompt will be given daily, as well as a brief meditation focusing on the subject of the day.

You can follow along with us February 1-10, or, if you choose, you can save all the emails and take the 10 day reset when it works best with your schedule. You do you!

During this workshop. we'll spend some time breaking down this importance posture. We'll do exercises that will build strength while reducing the chance of injury. We will use block and bolsters to learn proper alignment and then have some fun jumping back into chaturunga from poses like crow. Take time for yourself in this busy time of the year to move slow and stretch deep into spaces you find the most tension. We will begin with a soothing slow flow connected to our breath focusing on poses you can take with you anywhere you go, literally. Then we will move into a restorative practice where you can sink into your mat and soak in lots of hand on assists. This time is precious and meant to leave you feeling oh so good.
